A look back at 2025 through your favorite recipes and my favorite moments in the kitchen. Which one did you try?

It’s that time of year again! How quickly time flies! Looking back, 2025 was truly a year centered around family for me.
We started the year with a Caribbean cruise with my family, and it was such a memorable trip. We petted stingrays, spent time on quiet beaches with almost no one else around, and enjoyed so much local food. It was a wonderful experience that brought us even closer together, and I’m incredibly grateful for that.
In the summer, my sister moved back to Los Angeles. We’ve been able to spend a lot more time together, and we also met her pup, Truffle, for the first time. He’s incredibly adorable and well-behaved. We love this little guy and can’t wait to babysit him in just a few days.
We’ve also been spending more time with my mother-in-law after my father-in-law passed away last year. From dim sum outings to shopping trips, we’ve shared many meaningful moments together. We’ve also been lucky enough to enjoy her home cooking more often, like enchiladas and braised pork ribs.
We didn’t do much international travel this year beyond the Caribbean, but we explored several cities within the U.S., including Seattle, San Diego, and New York. I still loved discovering each place and tasting local specialties along the way.
As for the blog, things were a bit slower this year, but I’m really proud of the recipes I worked on. I’m excited to create and share more in 2026. Thank you so much for all your support! Reading your comments and hearing how you enjoyed the recipes truly makes my day.
Here’s to a happy 2026! Wishing you good health and lots of happiness.
Now, let’s look back at the Top 6 most popular recipes of the year:
6. Ube Dutch Baby Pancake – Not only is this pancake beautiful to look at, but the flavors are incredible, especially when paired with the ube coconut sauce.

5. Favorite Breakfast Burrito – A homemade version of our favorite restaurant breakfast burrito. We were so happy with how it turned out. Crispy, savory, and seriously filling.

4. Rosè Rabokki – This Korean dish makes a comforting and easy weeknight meal. It’s cheesy, savory, and just a little spicy. I love how quickly it comes together.

3. Pistachio Glutinous Rice Balls – These were so fun to make. Nothing beats freshly made mochi, especially when filled with pistachios and sugar. I’ll definitely be making these again for Lunar New Year.

2. Hong Kong Style French Toast – My proudest recipe of the year! This French toast is perfect in every way and tastes just like the ones I grew up eating.

1. The Best Apple Crumble – I was surprised by how quickly this recipe rose to the top, but I’m not mad about it. It’s truly incredible. Easy to make and absolutely delicious, this is a dessert I’ll bake every fall.

BONUS – MY FAVORITE RECIPE OF THE YEAR:
Apple Matcha Latte – An unexpected combination, but so good. I’ve made this many times over the past month. If you’re a matcha fan, you should definitely give this a try, especially during fall.
